Significant Weather-Related Events Response Conference and Program

Major weather-related events have had a widespread geographical impact along the I-95 Corridor. The Coalition is engaged in a Significant Weather-Related Events Response Program to address transportation issues and identify solutions for multi-jurisdictional emergency response activities. This cross-cutting program involves coordination of traffic, operations, transit, and freight movement before, during, and after the event, including post-event recovery impacts. One element of the Coalition’s work on significant events coordination is an upcoming conference, “Significant Events Coordination: Removing Barriers and Opening the Door for Cross-Disciplinary Understanding and Coordination.” The conference was held on May 12-13 in Linthicum, Maryland (near BWI).
