Significant Weather-Related Events Response Conference and Program
Major weather-related events have had a widespread geographical impact along the I-95 Corridor. The Coalition is engaged in a Significant Weather-Related Events Response Program to address transportation issues and identify solutions for multi-jurisdictional emergency response activities. This cross-cutting program involves coordination of traffic, operations, transit, and freight movement before, during, and after the event, including post-event recovery impacts. More information on the Coalition’s overall Significant Events Response Program can be found here.
One element of the Coalition’s work on significant events coordination is an upcoming conference, “Significant Events Coordination: Removing Barriers and Opening the Door for Cross-Disciplinary Understanding and Coordination.” The conference was held on May 12-13 in Linthicum, Maryland (near BWI).
