This event will feature a spotlight presentation on Maryland’s Statewide Transportation Model with a particular focus on their “C” 20 Freight Model. A team led by Lisa Shemer (Deputy Director, Office of Planning and Preliminary Engineering Maryland DOT) and Rana Shams (Division Chief, Traffic for Travel Forecasting and Analysis Division, Maryland DOT-SHA) will share with us their efforts in developing this model and share examples of how this model is aiding Maryland in making data-driven transportation decisions, with particular emphasis on freight. We will also have a roundtable with agencies on data initiatives/items of recent interest related to data and planning and discussion on future meeting topics.
