About Commercial Vehicle Operations
The Coalition is pursuing various projects to promote the interoperability of Intelligent Transportation Systems for Commercial Vehicle Operations in order to improve highway safety and freight mobility for commercial and passenger vehicles in the I-95 Corridor; improve the efficiencies of administrative and enforcement processes and the economic viability of commercial vehicle operations in the I-95 Corridor; and support initiatives to improve homeland security related to commercial vehicle operations and freight movement.
The Eastern Transportation Coalition has developed an online Portal to access information of Motor Carrier – Commercial Vehicle Operating, Credentialing, Registration, Taxation, and Permitting Requirements, Commercial Driver Licensing, Traveler Information, Truck Parking and Weigh Stations, Tolling Information, and Motor Truck Associations for each of the Eastern Transportation Coalition Member States from Maine to Florida.
